So the B!tchfest Mondays were getting pretty skimpy so I thought we might try something new, Karma Mondays. Feel free to share one of the following:

1. The best story that you have/know of about Karma totally coming around and biting someone in the butt. [Has happened]
2. Who is someone/some case that you are praying Karma comes back around and pays them a little visit? [Will happen]

Hubby bitched me out last Thursday because two nights in a row my little girl started hunger crying while I was in the shower and DH had to deal with her nuclear meltdown. He called me a useless mother and told me I needed to learn how to plan better and after 3 months I should have a routine by now. I was too stunned to say anything but i felt half an inch tall. started doubting myself and everything. Anyway fast forward to Friday and DH was changing LO after a blow out. I've told him 100 times that he needs to put a clean diaper under the dirty one in case she pees or poops more once the dirty diaper is removed. Well, once again he didn't heed my advice and whaddya know? Baby girl peed and had explosive poop all over herself, our bed and DH's legs. She started screaming because she hates having poop on her butt much less anywhere else. I proceeded to call him a useless father who needs to plan better and after 3 months he should know to put a clean diaper under the dirty because now LO has to have another bath. His face was the definition of humbled and he apologized to me and baby girl.

Mine has a little back story. I am sure some of you remember me mentioning a co-worker who was literally only in the office 1-2 days a week and “teleworked” another 2 days a week and was sick at least one day a week for 6 months. AT LEAST. This was going on while I was 9 months pregnant and I would come into the office more than she. Well she claimed that her endometriosis was flaring up, we gave her the benefit of the doubt and the pity and covered for her for 6 months. She would fluff her time card and say she worked 40 hours… even 48 hours some weeks, but I didn’t see her “online” for more than 20 hours in a week. It was just all over a hot mess.

Enter Thanksgiving season and she has zero vacation and zero sick leave after 6 months of the above schedule. So she schedules her surgery for right around the holidays (short term disability) Well her surgery went really well and her OB (we share the same OB) schedules her to come back on Dec. 16th. WAIT! Before Christmas? No no no, she calls the office and explains she couldn’t possibly be ready to come back to work until Jan. 2nd. Well fast forward to Christmas, she’s out having a hoot (we’re FB friends) and being a general Martha Stewart (defiantly not laid up taking care of herself, though she is still unable to return back to work). Then on Dec. 31st she texts me all night asking what I am doing for the holiday, am I going out, do I want her to come by my house and get me and we can go out. Etc. Well she calls in “sick” on her first day back, the 2nd.

Well I find out today that the Dr. office told her that if she felt like she needed to take until the 2nd that she could, however the official disability would end on the original date. And she didn’t open any piece of mail from the company that handles our short term disability, etc. (Literally for my maternity leave, which is handled like a short term disability, the company sends you 19 pieces of mail with your return to work date. You just need to open at least 1 to know the date.) Our boss walks into her cube and says that Unum stopped her benefits on the 16th. Unum is holding strong that for her procedure that went well that she only has 6 weeks of paid disability with the option to take 8 weeks covered (i.e. she’d have 0% coverage for the last two weeks and it would be all vacation). But she doesn’t have any vacation. He banked sick time re-started on the 1st (with 56 hours) but she can’t draw those hours to cover the time in December.

I feel bad that she’s going through this headache of a claim but she stuck her head in the sand all of December… and I don’t know… figured it would just work itself out when she returned? I don’t understand it. And for all the time she fluffed in the last 6 months Karma is finally coming back around.

I was not happy that LO was upset but I was smiling inwardly at the bitch slap karma gave DH.

If someone let alone DH called me a useless mother, they would have much more than karma coming there way! Try a high heeled shoe or his dinner I just made him!

Yeah, umm, seriously? If my husband called me a useless mother I'd be PISSED. My H and I do not ever talk to each other that way, even when we're mad. I would never call him a useless father either, even to "pay him back." I mean, I get why you did it, I just don't think it's right.
