Getting stains out

DD's pants are all dirty at the knees from her crawling around hardwood floors. I've tried spray and wash before laundering and still the stains won't come out. Has anyone had this problem? I don't want to get rid of all her pants, but I hate having dirty knees on everything.

I don't have a dirty knee problem, I have a food everywhere problem. We use resolve and it does great.
