If you have a toddler already...

This book is great! 


I've been looking for children's books that help explain pregnancy and new babies that are age appropriate for our 22 month old. There are lots for older kids, but I couldn't find any that were for her level. I stumbled upon this book at the library last week and it's wonderful... It's written in rhyme, with flaps (big plus for DD), and cute illustrations. First the little girl's dog has puppies, then her cat has kittens, then her mommy has quadruplets! It has counting as well. The concepts are simple ("My dog got fatter and fatter. I didn't know what was the matter." etc) and every time we get to the part where the mommy gets fatter and fatter, DD turns gets all excited and points at my tummy :) 

Anyways, there's a rec for you. It would be a great book for older kids too, but it's a nice one for those of us with toddlers struggling to find a good pregnancy/babies book for our LOs.
