Jogging strollers

Has anyone heard of the brand InStep jogging stroller? I'm looking for more "personal" reviews on jogging strollers. I know BOB are good, but the price just hurts to look at.

Any feedback on InStep or other jogging strollers would be great! TIA

Re: Jogging strollers

  • I bought a used one at a garage sale. It wasn't that great. When it comes to joggers (well any stroller, really), you definitely get what you pay for. The wheel mechanism kept locking up on it and it was hard to steer. The seat/buckles were cheap and hard to snap/unsnap. And overall, it just seemed too bouncy for little ones. If you plan to use it regularly, it's probably worth the investment on a BOB or similar. Check Craigslist to save some money.

  • I haven't heard of that one but I have the Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Click Connect and it's awesome.  I love it.

  • We love our Joovy Zoom. The price is much more reasonable than a Bob. It also came with a rain/wind cover and parent organizer.

It is super heavy and has zero suspension.  It is not a recommended jogger at all.

  • It's not any cheaper than the BOB, but I absolutely love my Baby Jogger Summit XC (or the X3, which is the newer model).  Super-easy fold (just like the City Mini), adjustable "fine-tuning" knob for the front wheel (which locks or unlocks for running or basic strolling), great for taller/bigger kids, enormous canopy, wheels that easily detach for travel and storage, and a fantastic suspension system.  I did a lot of research when buying a jogger and came down to the Baby Jogger and BOB Revolution, despite the cost of the two.  I know the cost is cringe-worthy, but they are just the best out there.  The fact that the front wheel locks and unlocks makes these two strollers great as everyday strollers as well.  In the end, I opted for the Baby Jogger over the BOB because of the awesome fold and the extra head room (DS is very tall).  HTH!
  • I agree with buying a used quality jogger.  BOB or Baby Jogger most likely.  There's really just no comparison.  Amazon Warehouse also regularly had single BOBs for around $250.
