Routines

So today is my first day back to work after being home for three months with my baby girl:(((. She will be taken care by family members. With me I feed her every two hours because I don't produce enough milk for her to go on three hour feedings. But when she is being watched she will cause I know she will be getting her four ounces. So how can I keep close routine with her when she's with me n her sitter? Because I don't want to confuse her. Sometimes I wonder if I should just strictly pump and feed strictly bottle so I can keep with the sitter routine. I hope this made sense and wasn't just jibberish :/

Re: Routines

  • It makes sense but I don't think your baby will get confused by the switch.

At daycare my LO only eats every 3-4 hours, while at home it's every 2-3. He just adjusted automatically.

At 3 months there is going to be a lot of change in eating and growing anyway. So, I would say try to relax! Easier said than done I know.

EP is really tough and added major stress for me when I tried to switch. I would see how it goes with bottles and nursing when you're at home.

    Good luck!

  • Same as @dhaueisen - he eats more often when I'm home than he does at daycare, but I don't see him noticing or caring.  I would just see how it goes and go from there.
