Pooping during nap

DD has been day potty-trained for about 5 weeks now. She's doing great with peeing. She's wearing a pull-up at nap and bedtime.

She has always pooped at naptime (or at least as long as I can remember). So this is nothing new or a resistance to potty training.

She has only pooped in the potty a couple times. Any ideas how I can transition her schedule go during awake time? I always take her to the bathroom before her nap, but she just pees. On days that I wake her early (trying to give her an opportunity to use the potty), I think that she just holds it and waists until the next day.

    That's what I think too. I've tried previously, but she throws a hysterical fit - like tantrum in her crib for the entire naptime. Almost like she is afraid to go to sleep with underwear on. At one point, she made me take all her stuffed animals and blankets out of her crib. (I think because she was afraid of getting them dirty.) I just don't know if she feels like she can control it while napping...if that makes sense.

    My son does this as well (diapers during the day and pees on the potty super well, but pull-ups for naps and overnight, and often poops in them).  I'm going to let it be for now (26 months and only PT for a few weeks now), but if he continues to persist I'll have to consider ways to curb it.  I don't think he's intentionally holding it in so he doesn't poop on the potty, but you never know.
