What are you ladies going for in terms of BC? I'm not sure yet..

I really thought I wanted Norplant or Depo so I could have a sort of set it and forget it option. Then my doctor asked me if i planned on having anymore children. I am leaning towards no, but not firm on that. He pointed out to me that if I would want to, then the pill would be my best option. He said because once you stop taking the pill, you can pretty much get pg right away whereas other options would need to be removed or "work their way out" of your system before you can try again. So here I am, back on rhe pill. Although i am currently BF, so doubt i am really at much risk to conceieve anyhow. (And yes, thats the mini pill so as not to interefere w my BF).

DH had a vasectomy this past Friday. Now only 14 weeks with condoms to make sure he is "sterile" and we are good to go.

I'm going to do the paraguard. It's the IUD without hormones. I'm really scared though! I haven't worried about BC for 7 years because DH had a vasectomy. I want to ttc this summer if I can get my DH 100% on board for another one, and my midwife suggested this as my best option. I'm just nervous about complications.

I started the mini pill last weekend. We may be crazy enough for number 4 since my doctor said during my c section that a fourth would be ok but having had 3 c sections already I want to wait at least a year.

I have my 6 wk appt today and will probably choose the para guard as well. Although I have some questions to ask my ob before I commit... I'm kind of freaked out at the idea of having something implanted. We are 90% sure we are one and done and I don't want to take hormones.

Mini pill for now. We want kids fairly close together so after my 6 week appt. tomorrow I'm going to make DH sit down and we are going to discuss when we think we should try for #2. I'd kind of like to try when LO is 9 months old or so.

I'm on the mini pill for now. In October, we agreed to discontinue all BC and let nature take its course. I do plan to continue BF and allow her to self ween, but I wouldn't mind getting pregnant late this year.

I started the mini pill we want to try the month she turns one & I'm breastfeeding for a year so it'll work out nicely.
So I'm like both of these moms. I did the pill because I think everyone in this room would love to resort back to condoms. Not lol

Condoms here! I've still got 2 weeks before I'm even cleared to DTD. Medicated BC give me migraines and turn me into an emotional whack job.

I think after a failed VBAC I am done. Two boys is fine by me. Wishing I could experience having a daughter, but I don't think it's in our story. DH and I have been discussing a vasectomy. He's a little reluctant, but hey, wait a sec! If I had two c-sections he can have a vasectomy. We don't like condoms or the pill.

Condoms. I have no desire for an implant and do not want anything hormonal while BF'ing. After he weans we will see.

You know the mini pill is for breastfeeding right? Non hormonal

I do. My LC said that you can still see a supply drop. Plus I know other mommies who have had a drop in supply from being on the mini pill.

This is me too! I'm nervous but it's the only option that was given where I would still get my period (family history of problems when BC stifles the period). I'm nervous but it's the best option for us! I don't trust myself to take the minipill, my midwife explained the importance of taking if at the same time which I don't trudt myself to do, and I also don't trust DH and I to do the whole condom thing.

Ah gotcha okay

I'm thankful I haven't then. I'm still doing just as well being on it so that's good.
