Co-sleeper help

My co-sleeper is on wheels on one side and this makes it elevated. It is also good for Noah's reflux to be at an angle. My problem is that his head seems to fall to the side and his neck isn't getting any support. I googled it but can't figure out what to use to support his head while he is in his co-sleeper. Any suggestions?

Edit: sorry for two posts so close together.

  • Loading the player...
  • Honestly sleep positioners aren't safe either.  Have you tried a RNP?

  • @mrsjenni I haven't thought of that but I'll try anything. I am worried that if he turns his head in the sleep positioner he could smother himself. DH and I were just discussing that.

  • Maybe a rolled up receiving blanket would work? I'm very leery of putting anything in with them though.

  • @worleygirl I tried that tonight only because he was in the living room with us and I was watching him like a hawk but I'd be too scared to leave him alone with it like you mentioned.

  • My girlfriends son had HORRIBLE reflux and her pediatrician said to have him sleep in the car seat. Seriously. It was the only way to keep him elevated
  • dont sleep in car seats because it can compress the lungs and cause breathing issues. I would just go get a rock n play

  • Quinn likes the RNP - he likes being held more but what can you do!

  • My LO is still cooking, but my SIL has a 4-month-old and she adored her RNP. My cousin said it was a godsend for her daughter as well. I'm looking forward to using ours :)

  • My in laws were supposed to be coming Tuesday with my nieces PNP but are now deciding to sketch out. Ugh I'm annoyed. I think I'm going to order the pillow from etsy that is a sleep positioner but is flat and so they can't move off of it and there are no side supports that could suffocate him either. I'll just have to do this in the meantime.

This might be a stupid question but is a PNP the same as an RNP?

  • PNP is pack and play and RNP is rock n play. I'm trying RNP with this baby bc DS hated the PNP.

  • What about those hats that are designed to protect again flat head syndrome? I'm on my phone or I'd find one and link it for you. They seem like they'd keep a baby from turning their head yet not pose risk of suffocation.
