Pumping?

For those EBF, when did you start pumping to have a stash? I had a scare with pp bleeding tonight (false alarm, thank God) but DH asked about how he'd feed LO if I was somehow not available. We are still feeding on demand (1week old today!) so not sure how to fit pumping in....

    I think I pumped for the first time at almost 3 weeks. I've been pumping once a day for about a week now to get my stash going (almost 5weeks).

    DS is 1.5 weeks and I've pumped once. He was sleeping and my boobs were killing me so I had to pump. I'm going to try to pump here and there when he starts sleeping longer stretches. I SAH so I don't need a huge freezer stash but I'd like to have some milk frozen as back up.

    I'm planning to start pumping in the morning or tomorrow just once a day a few times a wk to start and whenever a bottle gets used. Just got through that 3wk growth spurt.

    With my last 2 I started at 3w. I am already starting with this one as I will be returning to work on the 14th.

    I started pumping at 1 week only bc we had to supplement one late night bottle per pedi. So we have just continued that bottle of breast milk so hubby can help/participate plus I can build a stash. I think I might start pumping in morning also just to really build a stash. I'm going back to work at the beginning of Feb

    LO is 5 weeks and I started pumping at week 4.

    BE careful with bottle feeding!! My little guy and I are struggling with nipple confusion(he's 3 wks). I pumped after 1 week b/c we had to supplement due to jaundice issues/ weight gain etc.

    No one told me it would cause some serious problems. Talk to a lactation consultant before pumping, bottle feeding and all that fun stuff:) There are many ways to supplement and give express milk without using a bottle. 

    If you have questins-feel free to ask. I've been researching the heck out of this:)

    I have been pumping and stashing since my milk came in. I had to introduce formula though since my milk had not come in and someone decided to hit their 1 week growth spurt first. I have switched back to just breast milk and had to tap my stash with this 3 week growth spurt.:(
