Got a flyer in the mail offering money off but it doesn't say anywhere how much it costs. Did anyone do this last time? Would you she l share what it cost so we could decide whether the coupon is worth saving?
I know there is no price to protect your children, but we plan our budget extremely carefully and if there are yearly maintenance fees we have to plan accordingly.

Re: Cord Blood Banking
With DD1 I couldn't donate because of the HELLP and she was a preemie. With DD2 I wanted to donate but didn't note it on my documents and forgot as the c/s came about rather quickly again. For LO3 I'm going to make sure to document it early so that, as long as all goes well with the delivery, it can be donated.
BFP1: DD1 born April 2011 at 34w1d via unplanned c/s due to HELLP, DVT 1 week PP
BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence
I did cord blood banking. This falls into the same camp as vaccines/BF/etc so hopefully no wars start right now! I will not give an opinion of why i chose to do it-not worth it--there is a ton of rsch you can read or I can PM you if you want.
To answer ur question...It was about $1800 to bank and its about $150 a year thereafter. We used CBR but I think Viacord, etc are all the same.
