Fat vagina ??

I had an unplanned csection . I am a small framed person . Gained 35 lbs during the pregnancy . But now I have this fat pouch thing right above my incision ( above my labia) . I'm not sure if this was caused from pregnancy or from the c section . Does anyone else have this and will it go away ? I can't find any answers on this . This isn't near my stomach or abs . It's very low ( right above the incision )

It's called a "shelf" and is caused by the c/s. I've had it both times and it's gone away after awhile... It can be permanent but usually resolves itself, just part of the healing process

I had one after my first c section when I lost all my weight it shrunk and was fine

I had a c section 2 days ago and still very swollen at moment, this time my scar is slightly lower so hoping this one won't leave me with an over hang xx

It will either go away or there will be a little pooch from where the internal stitches were made. I have had 2 c-sections and mine is a little shelf after 1 month.

Great title lol. I had the same thing but it went away after a couple months.

I cannot stop laughing at the title. Sorry no advice but I am chunky to start with so I have flab above my vagina (tmi?!)

Yep - I think it's a rare very lucky woman that doesn't get this lovely "shelf". It definitely got better with weight loss, and I am pretty sure it wasn't visible even in a swimsuit. But, it did not go away completely even though I was almost 20 lbs thinner than pre-pregnancy. Just hoping it doesn't get much worse this time around.
