Cotton mouth anyone?

I wake up in the middle if the night to pee (of course) but also in the morning with the worst cottonmouth. Has anyone else experienced this? I drink a ton of water because I'm so thirsty during the day and again in the middle of the night because this feeling is awful!!
This never happened with DD so I was just curious.

  • I have it too. But I have also had congestion lately so I think I may be sleeping with my mouth open. As long as I'm sleeping I'm happy...it's rare lately. No solutions but if you find one let us know!

Yes. Every night for the past month or two.

This is me too. I've had a cold and sleeping with my mouth open is making it really dry. Maybe you're sleeping with yours open too? I know pregnancy can cause swollen nasal passages so it could be a symptom of that.

  • I've been getting this for months because I've been so congested I have to breathe through my mouth at night to sleep. I have found my mouth isn't quite as dry in the morning if I use some Breathe Right strips.

  • Same here. Stuffy nose so I'm breathing through my mouth a lot. I wake up really thirsty

  • I'm sure that less humidity in the air isn't helping.

We used to have a humidifier, but we have such a big house with a pretty open floor plan that we haven't replaced it. It was helpful, though, to an extent. We used it when I was pregnant and had DD. We had half the house closed off because of remodeling.

  • I can't drink enough water to get rid of it when I was pregnant and now that I'm breast feeding.
