Re: First tri has a girl asking if makeup is safe

  • I made sure to wear paraben free makeup.

  • I actually did read some stuff about not using certain makeups. I didn't read into it though. I wouldn't leave the house or consume anything if i tryed to play by all the "rules".

  • I didn't use a lot of my regular makeup products, or dye hair, or really anything I thought could harm LO. I was super anxious the whole pregnancy and was one who tried to follow all the "rules".

  • I didn't switch anything when I was pregnant and was kind of lax on a lot of the "rules". I know some people are more strict with things, but I was never one of them.

  • I honestly had never heard of makeup safety issues. My OB never said anything either.

  • I've heard and was told by my dr that some body/face wash was to be avoided but didn't know about makeup?

I'm pretty sure salicylic acid (found in strong acne meds- bleaches everything!) was also a big nono

I was told the same thing but it was in everything I used so it was hard to avoid. My baby turned out fine ;)
