Are maternity bikinis necessary?

Or could I just wear a regular bikini? My gym has a private pool, so I like to go on Saturday or Sundays during the summer, and S/O's aunt has a pool.

I just snagged bikini maternity bottoms for $6 on Ebay just because the price was cheap, but what's the difference with them?

I'm just excited that I'll get to wear a bikini without hiding my stomach under a cover up.

I tried on the bottoms I have already and they fit fine, but my tops are not happening, unless I want to look like a stripper. My tits are obnoxious right now!

With my first I fit in my suits just fine. I usually have to get a bigger top because my ta tas are out of contro!

I will be needing a one piece because with DD my stretch marks on my belly got ridiculous!! Seriously DH used to joke that you counted each line to figure out how many weeks I was cause I looked like the rings on a tree trunk! They have faded some but are still super noticeable (and yes I slathered myself in butters and lotions and nothing helped, damn genetics!!) So sorry I am no help, just jealous you can actually wear a bikini!

I don't wear any different underwear when pregnant, so I would think you could wear normal bottoms. I agree about probably needing a bigger top.

I haven't worn a bikini since before kids . I'll be buying a one piece maternity suit for summer, hopefully I can find a cheap one since I'll only need it for about a month.

I'm kind of torn what I'll be wearing... Not sure if I'll have the guts to rock a bikini pregnant... but I guess time will only tell! I also had the same thought when I saw that there were 'maternity bikinis' I just always assumed I'd just get a bigger super supportive top since the bottoms are all low rises anyways.
