6 months preggo and dealing with a 2 1/2 yr old DD

Soooooooo I'm about to lose my mind (whatever is left of it)

Hubby is a police officer FT and PT EMT and is never home with his schedule.  I work PT 2 days a week at UPENN and only work when my daughter goes to school.  I'm getting nervous about what the next 10 weeks hold.  Soon to be DD's room is still partially an office and my husbands changing room.  Have tons of crap to do and I'm getting overwhelmed!

My biggest fear is having my daughter regress when the new baby arrives.  Any other mama's feel my pain?

  • I could have written this post because our situations are nearly identical except I've been laid off for December, and had 2.5 yr old DS in school full time which was great.  Staring my new job tomorrow, and I'm nervous as to how this will all go.  Like you, I'm nearly 6 mos along, and H works 2 jobs.  My 'spare' room is full of stuff from Xmas after I've already cleaned it out once.  Meanwhile, all of our closet systems decided to give out and our clothes are on collapsible tables in our bedroom.  Losing my mind?  Check!

We'll get there.  Keep your head up Mama!

  • FX you get a huge nesting urge to take care of that! Can you send DD to school a few days that you don't work to work on it? I know I can never get anything done with my toddler in tow!

  • Oh my god that's a lot going on all at once!  Yes, we will get there I just don't know how much more I can handle lol!

Good luck on your new job tomorrow!

  • See that's my problem is I've been organizing like crazy and the second I get done one project another arises.  With a 2 1/2 yr old it seems impossible to even get a shower and I've been told her school does do an extra day.  I'm gonna try and send her this Friday as an extra day.
