Poor Little Guy! Rant.

I feel so bad for DS. His tear ducts are blocked, which lasted about 5 months for DD, but I haven't been able to get the pedi to prescribe eye drops for him yet since he's been on vacation, so little man has a little sty on his left eye, and I don't know how to relieve the aggravation except for a little breast milk. I keep them as clean as I possibly can, but I know it aggravates him. He has serious reflux and spits up quite a lot, and it doesn't seem like gas drops are helping at all. He's got a little diaper rash that we're staying on top of, but he got a little milk bump down there too yesterday, so he's not a happy camper when getting his diaper changed. And he doesn't like EVER being uncovered... hates bathes, just wants to be wrapped up. I feel so bad for the little guy!

  • Poor guy :( is there not a Dr. covering for yours? Also try Sensicare for the diaper rash- you can get it OTC at the pharmacy.

  • Best thing for diaper rash, breastmilk if you've got it! Nola is super sensitive to wipes and her pedi said we could use a cream but that bm worked best and it literally cleared up in less than 24hrs

I thought baby powder wasn't recommended because it's bad for their little lungs. I've heard cornstarch works well but I've always had good luck with Desitin.

  • Poor little guy! I hope he feels better soon. I know you said he doesn't like baths but an oatmeal bath might help the diaper rash. My DS had one blocked tear duct that cleared up within a week. We massaged the corner of his eye in a counter clockwise motion with a warm moist wash cloth.
  • @LTpugs I forgot about this. We did this with DD, and I think I remember it helping a little. Hers just took forever to clear up, and we were so worried because DH's nephew had to have surgery on his to get his ducts to open up.

I'm going to try this. She poops literally every 30 mins. Either full blown or little sharts.
DS does the exact same thing. Poops ALL the freakin' time. You change a diaper, he's already pooped in it again! LOL
