Sex after having the LO

So my SO just tried "getting in my pants" and I just couldn't do it! I'm only 5 weeks PP so I used that as an excuse but I'm scared! My question for all the STM is what did it feel like after having your baby? Did it hurt? Is anyone else scared to jump into the sack again?

I would recommend waiting until you had clearance from your OBGYN at your postpartum appointment. (If you have not had yours yet)

I def plan on waiting until my appt on the 14 that is how I got out of it... Don't want to take any chances with my lady parts!! But it just made me realize how scared I am to do it again! I didn't realize it until now.

DH was all over me the day the OB gave the ok. Take it slow, use lots of lube. Honestly it hurt the first couple of times but after that it was fine and, dare I say, felt even better than before! Just tell him lots of lube and lots of foreplay.

DH to me last night, "Have you stopped bleeding?" It will be three weeks tomorrow since my c/s and I still have some really light bleeding but I also can't turn over in bed super easy so I don't know how much longer. I have an appointment tomorrow with my doc and I will ask if I really have to wait six weeks. My brain wants it but my vagina is not up for it!

I had a c-section and sex was painful for months because of breastfeeding hormones. Even with lots of lube. We waited 8 weeks the first time and it hurt a lot more than I expected. This time I think I will ask if an estrogen cream or anything will help.

I also think I had a mental block as I was terrified to get pregnant again (did NOT want kids that close together)

We waited 8 weeks due to a pretty extensive tear and I was just nervous. It was painful the first few times. Stock up on lube. We had to use lube pretty much the whole time I BF'd. I've never been one to have a problem with, um, dryness otherwise so this was a surprise to me.

Another issue we had was birth control. I have a latex allergy and lube is not approved for use with non-latex condoms. So, I was scared to have sex before my IUD was placed. BF'ing is only an effective form of BC if you are still nursing every 2 hours without fail, and by 8 weeks PP DS was sleeping through the night so I didn't have that backup method.

With my second after my csection I was very lucky to have a super fast recovery. I was ready at about 3-4 weeks and it was fine for us. But all recoveries are different.

I waited 7 weeks, I think a week after I got cleared. It was uncomfortable for a sec and then I felt fine not painful but I was scared that it would hurt the whole time. It actually felt better than before giving birth when I started to relax.
