@bepandnick: Thinking of you and your new little boy!!

I hope you guys are snuggly and doing well! : D
Good morning! So... I came on to TB thinking I'd check in, thought, "Huh, weird..." when I didn't see the ticker for Sunday, and then remembered, "Oh yeah!
@bepandnick had her LO! She's kiiinda busy right now !" Lol I thought maybe I'd help to get the ball rolling for today. If anyone would like to take this task on for the duration, then I don't mind!
Here is the open check in for anyone who starts a new week on Sundays.
1. Week? Fruit/veggie?
2. How are you feeling?
3. Updates from last week?
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments?
QOTW:
(I hope this one hasn't already been done before! Apologies for any redundancy!) What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up?
Re: ~*~*~Sunday Ticker Change~*~*~
35 weeks! Coconut. Happy 35/35 to all of you at this point!
2. How are you feeling?
Still feeling pretty good. Although I've got a bit of carpal tunnel happening. Some random aches and pains, but nothing major.
3. Updates from last week?
Not really. My nursery is almost completely done. I got the changing table at my shower yesterday. Just gotta get on DH for that and put a few things away.
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments?
I have my 36 week appointment next week and should have a final u/s to confirm head down position. Just how the class scheduling worked out with the holidays, and DH not wanting to take them too early, I'm taking all of my infant care and childbirth prep classes this week starting tomorrow night.
QOTW:
What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up?
I loved Sideway Stories from Wayside School series.
2. How are you feeling? Okay! Continued swelling, shortness of breath, carpal tunnel in right hand.... Still cursing at pants/underwear/socks/shoes --- anything required on my body that it below the bump. Lol
3. Updates from last week? Not-so-great news (but it could also be worse; so, I'll take it): my doctor wants me to continue to panel my blood (prick myself 4x/day to check my blood glucose level) for the duration of my pregnancy and to consult with a nutritionist... I need to make changes to my diet (decrease carb intake). May or may not need medication. They haven't dxed me w/GD yet. So.. I will try to keep it that way. FX!!
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments? A bunch! Tomorrow is our "Dress Rehearsal" class tomorrow at the birthing ctr (all the details about labor & delivery in the birth ctr, how long to labor@home, etc). I have a follow-up w/midwife on Wed, and our first birthing class is Wed night! Exciting stuff!!
QOTW:

I am down to 4 weeks or less, which is starting to terrify me. I have my next weekly checkup Wednesday which also includes an ultrasound. I'm excited to see LO, it's been so long.

(I hope this one hasn't already been done before! Apologies for any redundancy!) What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up? I loved to read when I was young I have quite a book collection, I remember one of my favorites being at the doctors office I used to visit, it was called "Popcorn", nothing special but I used to look forward to it.
1. Week? Fruit/veggie? 36 weeks, honeydew
2. How are you feeling? I'm actually feeling awesome. I get short of breath walking 5 minutes(I think I walk too fast though) and the heartburn is still killing me and sleeping sucks, but I still feel great. HR was asking when I'm planning on going on leave and I said that during Christmas I didn't think there was any way I was going to make it to my due date, but now that the craziness is over, I'm feeling like I can work until I go into labor. Still not sure if I really want to be working if I go more than a week late, but I'll definitely last until my due date now.
3. Updates from last week? Nothing really. I've been super discharge-y, yuck, but nothing going on otherwise.
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments? Appointment on Wednesday. Full Term next week!
QOTW:
(I hope this one hasn't already been done before! Apologies for any redundancy!) What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up? There was this book called "Midnight Teddies" that was about teddy bears that came to life and were mischievous at night. I've been thinking about seeing if I can find it, but I'm worried about what a google search might turn up, lol! I also loved "The Velveteen Rabbit"

Fine I guess but tired and anxious...and excited....can't wait for this baby to come!!!!
3. Updates from last week?
I have been on injectable insulin for a week....it's really not a big deal, kind of scary giving yourself a shot at first but I'm able to eat with less stress.
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments?
I start the 2x a week NST's this week!!!!
QOTW:
(I hope this one hasn't already been done before! Apologies for any redundancy!) What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up?
"A fish out of water" the one where the boy was supposed to feed the fish a pinch of food and no more....but he does and the fish become gigantic.
Woah --- Kudos to you on those insulin shots! Seriously, GO YOU!! : D I'm sure that, with this under your belt, your NTS' will go well. FX!!

2. I'm feeling well, I get really tired out by even the smallest things. Took a shower yesterday, and had to lay down after haha
My DH works out of town Monday to Friday, and will until I go into labour. So I'm solo with our 3.5 yr old, I'm so excited to have a newborn and an excuse to just rest and nurse!
3. We have our home visit next week with our midwife. WE GET THE BIRTHING POOL THIS WEEK! This seems crazy, I can't believe it's already that time. I am getting pretty bummed about not being pregnant for much longer.
4. So next week the Binoo will be full term, which is insane.
I finally packed an emergency hospital bag (we are home birthing but need to have a just incase bag). I also ordered the car seat (I like to procrastinate), and prepped all our cloth diapers, so I think were almost ready!
QOTW: I loved Morris the Moose Goes To School, and the Little Critter books! So fun:)
35 weeks and baby girl is the size of a coconut.
2. How are you feeling?
The uncomfortableness set in last week, like everything all at once. Peeing every two minutes, swollen feet, achy back, and just plain uncomfortable. Up until then everything was fine and dandy.
3. Updates from last week?
Nothing.
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments?
I have an appointment on Tuesday, it's the first one since the beginning of December due to the holidays.
QOTW:
(I hope this one hasn't already been done before! Apologies for any redundancy!) What was your favorite children's book (or books) when you were growing up?
I loved Nancy drew, I was a huge reader but that one I remember the most.
Congrats @bepandnick! I hope you and the LO are doing good.
Can't get comfortable without significant effort. Hot showers are a must before bed now.
No new updates.
Appointment on Friday - knowing that the baby could be here any time makes these appointments seem so much more important.
QOTW: I really liked boxcar Children and encyclopedia brown.
2. Anxious and tired at the same time. It's weird. When I'm sitting around all I want to do is keep myself busy, but once I get up to do things all I want to do is plop back down on the couch.
3. Noticing some more swelling. My feet are tingling if I'm walking too much and sometimes fall asleep. Also I feel like I'm sweating ALL the time!
4. Have an appointment on the 14th. It's weird because my last appointment was the 13th of December so I feel like because of the holidays I missed out on my 34 week appointment.
QOTW:
There's so many! I used to love the Berenstain Bears, Shel Silverstein, and Calvin and Hobbes comics.
Shel Silverstein is the greatest!!
1. Week? Fruit/veggie?
36 weeks and a honeydew!
2. How are you feeling?
My emotions are all over the place. Everything makes me want to cry or yell.
3. Updates from last week?
I'm officially 1 cm dilated. I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's strange to think the baby is on his way.
4. Upcoming milestones or appointments?
Full term next week
QOTW:

A Chair for my Mother.
