  I think it's cute to do a continuation of the theme from the baby shower Plus, that's giving people a lot of credit that they'll remember what your shower theme was

  My baby shower was alice in wonderland and I'm doing Madison's birthday in Madison in ONEderland. Everyone thought it was cute, I don't think it's tacky at all.

  Our nursery is nautical. Shower was "ahoy it's a boy" and birthday will be pirate/nautical. Go for it, it's your child!

  I had a pink lemonade theme for my shower and have thought about doing the same for her first birthday. Either that, or a sunshine theme because I've always sang You Are My Sunshine to her.

  That is the theme we are doing for LO's birthday. I love the Time Flies concept as well.

  We're doing You Are My Sunshine (sunshines?) too because DH sings this to the girls all the time.
