a funny story

So i was at the pharmcey to get ds meds and the person at the counter asked for the name. Im extremley stuffed up so he gave me this weird look when i said bentley. He then said

Benlee thats an odd name choice. I smiled and said no, bent-lee like the car. Having a cold is awesome. Maybe i should just call ds benny till my cold clears up like bfs son and my nephew do

    I don't know if maybe I have some sort of speech impediment or if other people are just retarded, but when I tell people my name or my daughter's name, they lean in and say a name that is not at all what I said. Example: about a year ago I was talking to a clerk at the store and she asked for my name and I told her Jessy and she asked "Stephanie?" It took everything in me to not say, "bitch, you deaf? How the fuck did you come up with that?". Some other chick at a different store thought I said my name was Audrey... Seriously?

    I've decided that when strangers ask for my sons name I'm just going to make up something funny. Like ill tell them he's a junior and is named after me (I have a feminine name) or his name is Jesus Christ [lastname]. Then ill get really huffy if they're anything but supportive.

    His actual name will be Thor so probably the same thing would happen even if I was honest.

    If ds was a girl hed have been troian maci. But now i love the name merritt for a girl. To be fair ive also told bf i like mortica and moira for girls soooo. I do like weird names
