Flying with baby food

My sister in law just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and we are flying to Orlando to meet her next weekend. Having flown with Colton previously, I know what to expect with bringing breastmilk. However, I don't know if I can bring homemade puree with me on the flight and/or check it. How about store bought pouches? I'm sure I can put them in the checked bags but do they fly well without any incidents with changes in pressure? Thanks in advance ladies!

    One idea is to just buy some baby food when you get to your destination. We are going to FL in two weeks and that's what we will do. Bringing homemade food is too much work IMO.

    This is an option and we may end up doing this. The only thing is that we won't have a car there and didn't want to bother them when they are probably busy with the newborn. So I prefer to either bring homemade food or store bought food for the weekend so that I can just concentrate on my SIL and the baby.
    But it may be that this is the easiest solution and we may end up doing this.

    I brought baby food in my carry-on and they said if its for the baby it's fine. DH and I also had bottled water and they asked if it was for LO I lied and said yes ;). Free pass on everything traveling with a baby SCORE! But you could always pack it and double up on zip-lock freezer bags.

    We carried on plum organic baby food pouches yesterday. I just told TSA I had them and they just had me put them separate like a liquid but no issues with bringing it. They don't have baby food in the airport and babies have to eat so I don't think it's an issue

    And by just saying (at 4 am) I mean I can bring you anything you forgot or need since you won't have a car if you are in the vicinity of where I'm headed

    Eta: all I know is that their place is about 20 mins from the airport. I've been there so many times but never bothered to figure out where they are located on the map...

    @wasnotwas my parent's place is in the villages. It is like 45 minutes outside of Orlando. We are going to disney Wednesday and Friday. Our 6 mos old is staying with my parents and we are bringing our almost 3 year old.

    Yeah, it will be a good time. We go every year while they are down at their winter house. Too bad that we weren't flying this upcoming weekend. Maybe we could have had an airport concourse meet up with the other people flying to Orlando.
