    The nurse at my ped office told me the same thing.  She said as long as I got enough iron in my diet then baby was getting enough too.

    DD#1 had an iron deficiency at her 12 month check up.  She was not premature, I was not anemic, I did not have diabetes and she was BF. She was put on iron supplements for 6 months and she was fine after that.
