Burning nipples

What is up with this? They don't constantly burn but at random times they'll just start burning like crazy. Anyone else experience this?

    It could be nothing. Are they discolored at all? Any cracking? That's one of the symptoms of thrush, but check with your doc.

    Mine were itchy burning and my LC friend said it may be that I need to express a little more milk or it may be when let down happens. Also, I've noticed that when I get cold and the nips get hard it's a ridiculous amount of pain. Gotta keep the ladies warm!

    Mine are bright pink and itchy. It also hurts and burns when FS initially latches. They are actually more itchy when I wear a bra and pads. I think I have thrush.

    Mine burn/kill when she latches for a min then it goes away after a bit. No clue if it's normal. When I'm done nursing mine will sometimes burn but I got the all purpose nipple cream from my OB which helps a bit.

    Did you do all the cutting sugar and hanging out topless in the sun things?
    Nope. We don't get sun here in NY and I already cut soy and dairy so I can't give up sugar too. I take probiotics, ordered the Motherlove thrush cream, will start apple cider vinegar washes, talk to the Dr. on Tuesday.

    Yes it is new, but I don't think they are more red than usual..
