So I've been tracking all my food and realized a lot of my morning is consumed in the creamer I put in my coffee. I will have 2-3 small cups hot or 1-2 large cups iced. Apparently I use too much- perhaps it's time to go back to my skim milk days.
Black. I actually prefer it that way, and it saves a ton of calories.
I knooow- I just need to learn to like it plain or switch to tea or something. My sis loves her coffee black- she's like drink it plain for a week and you'll adjust. I just can't.
The cream will get ya. I slowly made the switch from cream to milk and now I'm down to skim. It was a gradual process for sure. If I taste coffee with cream now it tastes like dessert to me haha. I do skim milk and 1 Splenda.

I promise this is true! That's what it took me, too.. a week. I detested black coffee so bad, I gagged and gagged and gagged the first few times. H said once I kept going a few days, it would be tolerable.. and then after a week or so I'd love it. I thought he was nuts, but I tried. Believe it or not, I haven't used creamer in 9 months I LOVE black coffee. It tastes SO good now. I accidentally got a creamer in my coffee several weeks ago (DD's mistake) and it was so nasty, couldn't drink it. So yeah, I drink black. No calories, baby. And pure.
A little bit of sugar and hazelnut creamer at home or 1/2 and 1/2 out. I'm down to half a cup of coffee a day because I was wasting too many calories on it.
depending on how much you drink- 1 tbsp can range from 10-40 calories. If you put 5 tablespoons and have 2-3 cups of coffee that is a lot! Plus the sugar in it.
In doing ww- it's a point a tbsp- I eat 34 points daily and am using them up in creamer!
I don't do sugar/fat free anymore due to the chemical shit storm it has to go through to become free of whatever it is.

Hizzo and Chapter-- you give me hope! ha
Doooooo it. I used a LOT of creamer, too. I know this because I counted calories. I used two tablespoons in each cup I had. I was drinking between 70-100 calories of just creamer. Ugh! I decided I wanted to be able to eat extra food instead. I like food too much to waste on a liquid that isn't vodka. I will waste for vodka. Not for creamer, though, especially when coffee has no cals. More coffee!
Plus I get flavored coffees, and it makes them better.. not masked with creamer. I'm drinking a yummy candy cane one now.

I hear ya-- and flavored coffee is a good idea. I'm a big dark roast person- love sumatra!
At home, we use half-and-half cream and sugar. Otherwise, cream over milk. We do drink 2% milk now so if we're out of cream we use the milk.
This is us too. If I'm at Tim Hortons or McDonalds I'll order a double double, but at home it's about 3/4 of a tsp sugar and maybe about 1 1/2 tbsp of cream (half & half). However I only drink maybe 1 or 2 coffee's a week, so I'm not to concerned about the calories.

I have a mocha every day so a double shot of espresso, 1 1/4 c. 2% milk and 1-2 tsp white chocolate chips. It's way less chocolate than the coffee shop uses and I'm happy with it. I could have a second one today now that you mention it
Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
I do dark roast brewed very strong with a touch of 1% milk. In college I used 2% milk and sugar but was getting too many calories, so I weaned off the sugar and lowered the fat content of the milk. Now 2% milk makes it too thick and creamy and I don't like it at all, forget whole or creamers. Ick! I also can't do coffee that's been sweetened at all.
I tried switching to black coffee when I was off dairy and soy while nursing Emma and couldn't do it. I liked almond milk. Rice milk tasted like non dairy creamer, which is even worse than cream. Ew!
I've never done artificial sweeteners or low cal creamers because I've always avoided chemically altered food.
Lately, I have been trying flavored coffee in black or with 4 oz of vanilla almond milk in it.
Generally, the worse for you, the better I like it. Mocha, Raspberry mocha, hazelnut mocha, peppermint mocha... In the mornings when DH drinks coffee too, I usually use creamer and sugar - a lot of both.
Dude, are you in my head? I literally realized the exact same thing as I was tracking last week. I decided this is my last coffee mate peppermint mocha creamer. Back to just milk and truvia when it runs out.
At home I use the Coffee Mate Natural Bliss. It has cream, sugar, and vanilla...it is all natural so it does have more fat/calories than I would like, but it is not too bad and has no fake stuff in it. 35 calories, 1.5 grams fat, 5 grams sugar per tablespoon. I usually put a teaspoon in a cup of coffee. If we are out, I do a splash of skim milk and a bit of sugar.
Re: How do you take your coffee?
11 points. In a nonfat PSL. Lordy.

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
