Baby wearing

Anyone else currently baby wearing? Lilly doesn't want to be put down today and my arms are to sore to hold her.

A foot and a half of snow + baby that doesn't want to be put down = sore arms. So the carrier was brought out this morning. Lilly likes the carrier more than the wrap (I think I have a pea pod? Wrap).

Re: Baby wearing

  • I have a Seven sling. Tried it with LO the other day and he hated it. Can anyone suggest a good sling?? Sorry to hijack your thread, @Skylight21. :)

  • @sarahdavis83 it's all good, I think a lot of the ladies use the Moby wrap. I have the same thing as a Moby just a different brand and my LO hated it the first time I put her in it.

  • I'll look into the Moby, thanks!

  • I have the Moby and the Infantino ecosash. I'm using the ecosash a lot. It's easier to put on than the Moby. I also have a sling, but I can't find it…

I have the moby and I hate it. I can't get it down pat, everything looks a tangled mess and he's always sliding down no matter how tight it is. I have a infantino Mei tai for later but I would love to use my moby. :(

I have the Britax baby carrier with infant insert plus an extended seat for when she's older. I've only had the opportunity to wear it once when we went to the grocery store and Bass Pro and she loved it. Fell right asleep. Super easy to use too. I also have a ring sling but haven't used it yet.

  • I just used DHs Ergo and she fell right to sleep while I vacuumed. I am going to order a Seven Sling for myself though.

  • LO loves her moby. Out like a light when she's in it.

I can't get my wrap on by myself either. It gets all twisted and I can't get it positioned right. I think I will stick to my carrier, she seems to like it better anyway.

  • I have a baby bjorn and LO looooves it!!! Plus it is pretty comfy for me too
  • LO loves the Moby. Goes right to sleep.

DH used the Moby last night while we were eating dinner and LO kept popping his head out of it.

We also have an Ergo but it says it's for 10lb+, and LO is only 8lbs so we haven't put him in it yet.

Ergo has an infant insert for like $35 if you don't want to wait.

  • I have the Boba. LO falls right asleep in it and will stay in it sometimes for more than an hour while I get things done around the house. I've done laundry and cooked dinner while wearing him in it. It's awesome!
  • I have the ktan. It's similar to the Moby, but less wrapping.

  • We've been using Ergo with the extreme cold here. We use the infant insert and she sleeps the whole time.

    This.
  • We have a moby and an ergo with the infant insert. We haven't used the ergo yet, but she lives the moby and usually passes out in it.

I have the sling from JJ Cole. I haven't tried it yet but it looks very simple from the instructional video. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

I have the ergo and baby ktan. I can't get the ergo right. I feel like it's better for when he's older. The baby ktan is amazing!
Eta...I bought the moby and returned it because it was so complicated. I was able to put the ktan on perfectly the first time. I can put it on on my own easily. I can't say enough about it.
  • I have a bjorn, ergo and Moby. She loves the bjorn, ergo haven't tried and I'm nervous about the Moby but I feel like she would love it...I need to try it out!

  • Those of you that have the Seven Sling, if you're interested, you should look into a ring sling. They are easy to use, grow with baby, and are more comfortable than the Seven Sling IMO. We also have a Beco, but I haven't used it yet.

  • I have a ring sling and it's so easy to use plus LO loves it. I think it's from sleepingbaby.net
  • I'm loving my ring sling right now since it's super easy to nurse in. I also have a woven wrap (little peeper keepers) that I like for longer times, but since he's nursing about every 2 hours I haven't used that one yet.

Why didn't someone mention all the wrapping for the Moby! It's quite insane. If I knew there was an alternative that had less wrapping I def would have gotten that instead.
Yes it is insane. It makes me cuss, and I don't cuss. Lol
  • We have the ergo and moby. My husband prefers the ergo and I love the moby. LO loves them both. She falls asleep immediately and stays asleep while we do chores or even watch tv. Baby wearing is awesome!
