Chair in both rooms?

DD will be 16 months when DS arrives. We have a chair and ottoman in her room now. Should we buy a second chair for DS room? We use the chair for nighttime bottle but hoping to wean soon. If we move chair to new nursery my concern is no where to sit in DD room if she wakes middle of night due to illness or teething, etc. I don't plan to put her in bed with us. Should I just buy a second chair?? Thoughts greatly appreciated!

Re: Chair in both rooms?

  • I have no experience yet, but this was part of our decision to have our LOs share a bedroom (with the baby in our room until STTN or whenever we feel comfortable that it would work), and to move our recliner and changing table from her bedroom into the other bedroom, which we have as more of a play room. We don't have room for a second recliner or glider (or changing table), really, and DD will only be 13.5 months old, so we are just moving both. We'll see how it works!

  • I have a glider chair and ottoman in DD#1's room. She was 21 months when DD#2 was born and is 2.5yrs old now and we still use it to read, sing, and sometimes nurse DD#2 while DD#1 plays.
In DD#2's room I have a lazy boy rocker recliner which I also still use now.   I like that when my kids are gown I can use the lazy boy in another room in my house if I want unlike the glider..it would probably look pretty stupid in my living room.
