For those still on maternity leave

So as a Canadian momma I am just finishing up my maternity leave, with 3 weeks until I go back. Anyone else going back to work soon? How are you feeling about it? Are you nervous or excited? Will you put LO in home or daycare facility? Are you planning to continue breast feeding?

    I am excitEd, nervous, scared, and sad. It's been such a great year but leaving is going to be awful. I found a home daycare that DH and I really like. It will be so hard leaving. Him with a stranger though. I've been weaning for about a month in hopes that I will be able to nurse in the morning and in the evenings after I go back. Pumping at work just isn't an option for me. DH and I would like to get pregnant again in the spring so hopefully I will only spend 1 year away from DS.

    My maternity leave is up on the second of January. I have been having major anxiety about it. DH and I have decided recently to try and have me stay at home. We have been living off of DH's paycheck for the past few months and have been doing ok. I just keep praying it will work out!

    I wasn't on mat leave, I quit my job at Starbucks when I was 20 weeks pregnant and then we moved so I've been at home for like 16 months. I start working January 13 and it's kind of scary! I've never had a "grown up job" so this will be very different from wearing a uniform and making drinks or pizza.

    The best part is that it is only part time, 7-11 AM and I think I'll be able to get away without having to pump for DD during that time because I don't live too far away she can go 5 hours without milk.

    @jessie333. Good luck.....if we weren't going to try for another I would probably try staying home, but my benefits are great and another year of a good salary will help. @thisdecaflife good luck. Grown up jobs are fun.....but honestly you will miss the busyness of Starbucks. So great that you will likely still be able to nurse.

    Today is my last day home alone with DD. Monday I start my own home daycare. I have been watching one girl part time (every Monday) but I have a full time girl starting on Monday. I am pretty sad about losing the time alone with DD but glad to be able to still spend my days with her.

    My maternity leave ended mid December and I've started working 2 days a week now. It was really hard to think about leaving DS but I think he hardly notices. My dad is watching DS for those 2 days and my DH's aunt has offered to be our backup babysitter. I EBF and just cut back our nursing sessions during the day before I went back. The days I work I just make sure I nurse DS on both sides before I go to work and both sides when I get home. So far so good!
