Washington Babies

St. Joseph's Womens' Clinic Tacoma

I am not sure if anyone on here is familiar with this practice, but I was looking for an OB recommendation.  I went to this practice when I was pregnant with DD but I saw a Midwife (who I loved).  I ended up with a c/s and will have a RCS, so I need to see an OB.  I have had one appointment with Dr. Hu and just did not feel comfortable with her so I would love any information from others who are familiar with this group.  Thanks!

  • I only saw a midwife there so I'm not familiar with their doctors. Have you looked at Pearl Place Womens Care? They are another group of midwives and doctors that deliver at St Joes. I have heard great things about Dr Sanford. She does VBACs too if you're interested in that.

  • Thanks! I will see if they take our insurance. I'm not a good candidate for a VBAC unfortunately, but I like that they are willing to do them!

  • Also check Baby Catchers. Dr. Ho is really nice and very good at what she does.
Pearl Place Midwives is part of Franciscan medical group so your insurance will probably accept them.

Thanks!  I actually ended up switching to Dr. Alejo at the Women's Clinic's other location and so far really like him!
