Lo is still not sleeping and it's 2 am. Come on lo mommy and daddy need rest soooo bad. She was giving us some 3 hr stretches but the last 2 nights nada!
Definitely a growth spurt over here. How do people who are bottle feeding handle this, out of curiosity? You normally feed them a certain amt, right? So when they seem to want more and more, how do you know how much to give without overfeeding?

We bottle feed breast milk and formula an have no idea what to give either. She won't settle down and we are worried about over feeding her and her vomiting too.

It's tough to know. I always try to have a but extra in the bottle, so now he eats 2-3 ounces and I offer four. He really does seem to know when he's done at this point and will stop sucking or keep his mouth closed.
He rejects the bottle when he's full. However sometimes he'll want more within the hour. If he's routing and the pacifier doesn't work and he's fussy I usually offer him more. I just try to take it slow and have burp breaks.

That sucks. I was just thinking that maybe it would be easier to bottle feed during growthspurts to allow SO to stay awake with her instead and give my nips a rest, when I realized I wouldn't even know how much to give in a bottle. Guess there's just no easy way and we all have to just tough it out.
DD gave me a good 3 1/2 hr stretch, up to nurse and down for another 2 hours but then has been wide awake since 4am. I am thankful for that initial stretch but I'm exhausted now.
