Lightweight Stroller Recommendations

Hi all! So we're finally retiring our travel system stroller due to it being gigantic and a total PITA. My mom bought me a super cheap secondhand umbrella stroller that is mostly broken, but I loved how easily it folded up to put in the car.

Any recommendations would be helpful on what you love or hate about your stroller! : )

Re: Lightweight Stroller Recommendations

  • Love my Uppa baby umbrella stroller. Love that it reclines all the way back. Easy fold. I can pretty much do it with one hand holding V. Light weight. Folds pretty flat.

  • I have The First Years Ignite Stroller. It's around $50 at Target, but I think I had a coupon and got it for maybe $30 last spring. We've travelled with it and I typically keep it in the car for shopping trips. I'm 5'11 and the handles are at a comfy height for me (unlike most umbrella strollers) and reclines a little for LO.

I don't know that I would want it to be my only stroller (the wheels just can't compare to the bicycle tires on my jogger for long outdoor walks) but its great as far as lightweight strollers go.

  • We have the chicco liteway

and I like it.  It also reclines all the way, although we've never used it.  DD loves riding in it.  She waved to everyone in Kohl's this weekend.

Its easy to open and close, the diaper bag easily hooks on the handles, and there is a basket for other things.

  • We have the Uppababy G-Luxe , it reclines all the way, has a decent shade, and the basket was easier to get into that the Maclaren we looked at. The handle height is definitely for taller people. While it claims to be a one hand fold, it does take two hands because the folding mechanism is on both handles.
  • Love the Joovy groove lightweight stroller....I did a lot of research and tried out many in store including mclaren. Great ultra lightweight full recline with room for diaper bag in back....full sun canopy. The uppababy gluxe would be my next choice...very similar. I wanted to love the chicco liteway which was less $ but crotch strap too tight for some older babies....and mine.
