On average, how much milk do you get from pumping and for how long do you typically pump for one session... I know it all depends on your supply, but just curious as to what others say. Thanks.
Pumping can be really different for everyone. It has to do with supply, but it's more than that... Some women let down really easily for the pump, and others barely get anything. It can freak you out that your supply is low, when in fact baby is getting more than enough, but you just don't let down for the pump the same way.
The most I ever got was 3 oz. It was super discouraging, so I stopped. DD could get 3 oz of milk in 5 seconds, and then drink her fill, and be totally done before I could get even a comparable amount pumping. I stopped trying because I was staying home anyways and pumping wasn't a necessity for us.
It varied for me; my first pump I'd get anywhere from 6-8, my second I'd get 3-4, and if I pumped a third time I'd get around 2. I usually had a couple of extra ounces to freeze- my daughter drank 3 3-ounce bottles when I was at work.
I had supply issues and I wanna say the best I was ever able to do was 4 oz. total in one session. I would pump for 15-20 minutes each session. I pumped every 3 hours around the clock.

I breast fed and pumped til 4 months and then exclusively pumped til one year. By 6 months I easily got 8oz from each breast every time I pumped. I could get more if changed out bottles and kept going. Pumping was awesome for me and I only had to do it a few times a day to have more than enough milk in the fridge and backup in the freezer.
I've read that on average women get 2-3 ounces a session (from both breasts combined) and you should pump for at least ten minutes, so with set up and clean up count on a session lasting minimum 15-20. As you can see from pp it varies a LOT though
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
I pumped about every 3 hours for 20-30mins and would get 3.5oz. in the morning and usually 1.5-2oz. each session the rest of the day. It was very discouraging and I never came close to being able to exclusively pump without needing to supplement with formula. Also, just to be thorough with my answer, I'd get the majority of my milk from my left breast as opposed to my right and after I'd pump I'd hand express to try to get "every little drop" out. I also took Fenugreek capsules, ate oatmeal every morning, and drank mother's milk tea at night. I envy the over producers.. 10oz. seriously?!?! :-/

Re: Pumping ?
ETA - this would have been every 3-4 hours while working.
