1) What is your favorite weird food combination? Popcorn and Chocolate Ice Cream, (Seriously it is good), and Macaroni and Cheese with hotdogs.

2) What magazines do you subscribe to? Cosmo, Glamour, and Rolling Stones.

1) Anything this year you want your child(ren) to learn, or experience? I want him to learn that he has to work hard for what he wants in life, that things won't be handed to him. He better experience graduation!

2) What is your child(ren)s weirdest food combination? He likes to make a 'Breakfast Salad' he takes eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, and toast and cuts them all up and mixes it and puts hot sauce on top. Not necessarily weird, but it looks weird, and like too much work. ha

Plans for the weekend?? I have to go to the bloody dentist tomorrow! Anxiety is already setting in. Other than that nothing really.

1) Anything this year you want your child(ren) to learn, or experience?

I want him to learn to earn things. I fear that if he ends up an only child, he will not have to work for anything and/or feel as though he is entitled. I also want him to be self sustainable-- he should know how to do his laundry, cook at least one good meal and change a tire.

2) What is your child(ren)s weirdest food combination?

He eats frozen waffles-- as in straight from the freezer and not heated up. It grosses me out.

Plans for the weekend??

Undecorating the house and if it warms up enough, the hubs is going to tinker on my Jeep a little bit.

Cake and more cake.

None ATM, I think I had US Weekly on my Kindle for a while, but I never looked at it anyway. I just thought it was fancy to get a magazine on my Kindle

I would love for her to experience being a big sister. I guess we'll see what the year brings us.

She puts on ketchup on EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. It's funny because I was the exact same way as a kid. It was like I'd have a side of meat with my plate full of ketchup. :P

About your son not talking I would seriously not stress out about it. 2 reasons why, my sister didn't talk until she was 5. Her son who just turned 6 seriously didn't start talking until he was almost 4, quite simply because he had nothing to say.

Not saying to discount what your doctor says, but sometimes kids just don't need to talk, because they and we pick up on actions.

I want to take her swimming in a big pool and maybe go go carting closer to her 4th birthday.

pregnantchick - everyone got worried about my nephew and kept thinking that something was wrong, but he just one day started talking. He is a quieter kid, but now he talks a lot. As long as he is saying something I think it will be fine. My nephew did a lot of grunting when he wanted something and said mom and dad and no. But that was it. Give it time, if his ears and stuff have been checked he will be a-ok and then you will want him to be quiet.

We signed him up for micro ball (soccer) and swimming lessons.

I don't think he likes anything weird- he has feeding issues with textures and flavors so he doesn't eat strange foods. He doesn't even like mac & cheese. What kid doesn't like mac & cheese??? But he will eat broccoli and brussels sprouts. Go figure!
Plans for the weekend??
A few soccer games on Saturday, and then nothing. I need to clean, and I found some frozen crockpot meals I need to prep so we can try to save some cash and eat at home more. Maybe I'll try that.

I am a speech pathologist in early intervention- I work with kids birth-3 years all week long! If you have any questions about early language or what early intervention speech therapy involves, let me know!

@Pregnantchick my DS just turned two and his language is still so-so. Part of it was that he WAS talking but I wasn't understanding him. When he was between 16-18 months (roughly) my MOM picked up that he was saying the word "this"

Recently I realized that he was saying the phrase "No! Mine!" But it was an aunt that pointed it out to me.

I think because I stay home with him I was around him too much to notice. Maybe see if friends or family can pick up on what he's saying?

I wouldn't worry and I totally agree with @freakyfast. By the time he talks, you'll be wanting him to shut up

Well I am late to this post and the weekend is almost over, but I did nothing fun this weekend. I took down all my Christmas decorations, cleaned a little, and went grocery shopping.
