Steroids & swelling

I'm not sure if any of y'all can help with this, but it's worth a shot.

I have been on steroids for a stupid virus for about 4 months.  I started swelling after about 6 weeks and upped my water intake to at least a gallon a day.  I eat very little sodium and a ton of food with water in it.  I am still so swollen it's not even funny.  The scale says the same as it did before I started, but my face is so round that I can see the top of my cheeks almost all the time.  My clothes don't even fit right.

I know it'll go away eventually, but does anybody know how to make it go down faster?  I'm going to do another cleanse next Wednesday when I get back from CA/Vegas in hopes that will help, but I'll try anything else too!

    @wmel13 I know one round was prednisone for 14 days, but I don't know the mg or anything.  They've tried 3 others, but I can't remember what for the life of me.

    Thanks @almrkp11.  I'll ask about that!

    @wmel13 It's been off and on, but the longest I went between rounds was like 2.5 weeks.  At one point, I was given the option to do more steroids be hospitalized because I was staying so sick. I ended up with pneumonia once and walking pneumonia twice.  I'm finally clear, so I'm hoping it'll subside soon.  I definitely have moon face and it's rough!  Thanks for your input!!

    I am also on prednisone for an auto immune issue and even on the low dose of 10mg daily I am still swollen.

    I have been on it going on 7 months now and I was told it can take up to a year to completely leave your system :(
