Car seat frustrations..HELP

I ordered the Britax Marathon ..well the damn thug is huge! This is my issue..it fits in the center..GREAT! Not great when we have another baby (TTC) if the seat is positioned (rear facing)behind the passenger or driver said no one will be able to fit in my car except me with the frot seats ALLL the way forward but my husband is 6'4 and seat has to be all the way back.
I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty and my husband has a 2013 Chrysler 200..any car seat suggestions I'm hoping I can return this car seat

    For rear facing?  I don't know that you'll find anything smaller really. Maybe someone has and can give better suggestions.   I actually thought my Britax Boulevard rear facing was shorter than the infant carrier we had. I could put the seat back one more space than with the carrier.  As for crunching up in the passenger seat, we just dealt with it.  At the time when it was DS in the rear facing convertible, we had a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Yaris.  Basically whoever isn't driving just has to suck it up and eat their knees.  Neither me nor my DH are particularly short.  The longest drive we typically took together was an hour tops.  Most drives were only 15-20 minutes, so not a huge deal.

    TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

    Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

    We were looking at the Combi Coccoro for our secondary seat...but I think we're just going to go with another Chicco Nextfit.  The combi doesn't have as high of a weight limit, but apparently fit really well in the back of tiny cars...  Maybe worth a shot??

    No help with seats mine only fits in the middle, but if you are TTC now, you might be close to forward facing when you have a 2nd anyway?

    I agree with pp, I have the boulevard and in comparison to some other seats it is tiny. I know there is a small Safety First seat, don't know a thing about it but saw it at the store. Otherwise depending on the size of your lo it may be time to turn the seat around around the time the new baby would come.

    well, nm about the combi.  Just saw a bunch of them were recalled.  Glad we didn't go with it!!

    Thanks guys..I decided to keep it we will figure it out and I will put it In The middle for now and she will most likely be ready for FF by then
