Pregnant after 35

Just set up my maternity leave

So even though I'm not due till March 9th my employer let me know I can set up my approximate maternity leave now. The disability nurse that will be working with me will adjust it accordingly once I actually deliver. But I figured all of the time I am eligible for and if LO arrives on my due date I won't have to return to work until mid July. Holy cow that seems so far away! It all is seeming so real now :-)

  • How exciting!  I still have to weed through my company's oh so user friendly policy documentation (sarcasm on) to figure out how to start that process.

Believe me I feel your pain. Our company just merged with another company this year so the whole process became more complicated. Luckily I started researching everything like a week after I found out I was pregnant. We are a 2 income household so I needed as much time as possible to figure out how long I would be able to be out without financially killing us.
