@juliane2004

Ok I am going to word this very carefully because I don't want to jinx anything. So as you read it just don't say the not's ;)
So I tried your swaddling technique last night for a nap and he did "not" sleep for 2 1/2 hours. Then I tried it again for bed last night and he did "not" sleep for 6 1/2 hours (which he normally does but with me).

I'm still shocked as hell and for those of you having trouble totally try this...... Thank you, thank you, thank you @juliane2004!!!!!!

  • I also put him on his side with a wedge and use some sort of white noise
  • I tried it too and he has "not" been sleeping almost 11 hours. Woo hoo!

    Can I ask- were you guys not swaddling at all before?

    This is what I'm wondering. My kid hates swaddles, and I was using a swaddle sack before so it's not like he was busting out

  • We stopped swaddling because he was busting out of our a&a swaddle blankets and busting his arms out of the swaddle sacks.

    This! I couldn't do it right so he would get his arms out and be pissed
  • that technique looks like what the miracle blanket or whatever it's called does.
    That's exactly right! The bonus with this method, though, is you don't have to buy special blankets in different sizes (small, medium, large) to swaddle. Instead, you can just use blankets you already own.

  • Bumping this thread because I'm a believer! LO has been STTN since I first saw this on January 3, so THANK YOU @acethebase for reintroducing @julieane2004 's share!!!!
    LO is basically happy 24/7 now... Sleep is amazing and we both missed it. Such a believer that I'm not scared of jinxing myself....

    Here's the link in case anyone missed it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5K4VdZxwsu4
