Cigna PSA

This may have already been posted so sorry if it's a repeat, but if you have Cigna, you may be eligible to enroll in their Healthy Pregnancy, Healthy Babies program. You speak with a nurse about once a month and upon completion of the program after delivery you get $150 (if you are still in your 1st tri and enroll) and I think $75 if you enroll in your 2nd tri. It took me about 10 minutes to answer some questions over the phone today to enroll.

Re: Cigna PSA

  • If you log onto MyCigna and go under Manage My Health --> My Health Programs & Resources there may be one called Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies.

Here's the info with the #, you could call and see if you're eligible (we have Open Access Plus, so I'm not sure what plans are all included).

    Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies

When you're pregnant your body undergoes major changes. The Cigna Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy BabiesSM program supports you in managing your pregnancy and keeping you and your baby healthy.

You're expecting. That means you're going to be choosing a name. Looking for a pediatrician. And seeing big changes – to your body and your lifestyle.

    • Find support early and often -- get preconception information, tell us about your pregnancy, or get infertility coaching so we can meet your needs.
    • Learn as much as you want -- talk to a nurse who can help you with everything from morning sickness to you maternity benefits, 24/7.
    • Sign up for text messages -- text 511411 to get started: BABY for English, BEBE for Spanish.
    • Get rewarded for a good decision -- you may be eligible to get a cash reward for completing the program.

Call 1.800.615.2906 to enroll. We'll send you a pregnancy journal and information to help you learn about pregnancy and babies.

  • I did the UHC one but there was no benefit other than their annoying phone surveys. I'm with Blue cross now so I'll have to check on the Target card @tealowl mentioned!

  • I think the incentives are based on your employer.  Either way, it's good information.

  • Bummer.  I went to MyCigna and I found the information exactly as you have listed, except for the cash reward. So I called the number, and lady told me that my company does not participate in the Healthy Pregnancy program.  So they will only send me reading material under the Healthy Babies portion of it.

Even though their website said there's access to a nurse, etc, etc they said I'm only eligible for the reading material.
    Aww, that stinks :(
  • I joined Baby Yourself through BCBS -- There is a nurse that is supposed to check in with me -- They sent me my choice of books and a huge water jug.. and then proceeded to tell me that I had to drink at least 2 of those suckers a day :)

One of my co-workers had to get our company to sign us up for it... so you might want to check with HR and see if they will look into expanding the participation into the program... Never know, it might happen.

Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow may never come. There is only the miracle of this moment. Savour it. It is a gift.
