What is happening to my lady parts?!?

So it seems my labia are swollen and starting to chafe...I've heard of some changes postpartum, but didn't think I would experience any now?? And I've developed a skin tag on each of my nipples. What the heck!

Re: What is happening to my lady parts?!?

  • Yup, all part of the glamour of being pregnant.  ;)

  • And before anyone beats me to it, in hindsight I should have posted this on the daily symptom check-in...I plead pregnancy brain!
  • lol I'll accept this one as a SS post, since the title made me giggle thinking about the poster with the cute flat vagina! Here's to swollen everything!
  • My very pregnant friend said this is called hamburger syndrome since your vag swells up and looks like a hamburger. SO not looking forward to this.

  • No suggestions for the swelling, but I will say that Monistat makes a very good anti-chafing product (not the same as their vaginal creams for yeast infections). I've used it for chafing elsewhere and it's great. You can find it in the feminine products aisle near their other products. Another plus: beauty blogs say that the anti-chafing stuff makes a great make-up primer...double duty product! ;-) Hope the swelling/chafing improves.

Yes this can be normal, but I also have had this happen maybe 6 weeks ago and it was an infection. Doc had to drain some nasty stuff out from the labia! I was extremely swollen and it felt very heavy down there.

That sounds awful! I have my next appt Tuesday so I guess I better have them look into it!!
