Cigna Healthy Babies Program incentive

I'm sure many other insurance companies have a similar program, but if you have Cigna and sign up with the Healthy babies program, you get $150 when the baby is born ($75 if you sign up in the second trimester).

It's really nice, they have nurses that you can call if you have questions.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield has a similar program. Although, depending on your plan you get different benefits, but at the least (my plan, of course) they send you a book & you have access to nurses for questions 24/7. A friend said she signed up, and she received a $300 incentive to go towards hospital bills.

Just an FYI: this program is NOT offered by every employer who carries the Cigna insurance. I noticed in your link it says "prudential" meaning that prudential offers it. It is something that companies have to pay extra for, so not all do. Also, the amount of the incentive is different for everyone

Aetna has one of these programs too (maybe not every Aetna plan). After I filled out the form online they put $150 in our health account and sent us the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy book for free, kinda cool!

That's great. I just checked and I don't think it's an option for me with Blue Shield of CA. If anybody lives in Maine though there is a program where new babies get $500 to invest for college.

Anthem has the Future Moms or maternity education program. 4 years ago it provided a slight discount in the delivery. Not sure what it will offer this time around.
