Clogged Tear Duct and Breast Milk

I know I had seen some threads where some ladies were using breast milk to help with the clogged tear duct.  My question is how did you get the milk into their eye.  I'm not really skilled at hand expressing and have been trying to get some on my finger and rub it on her eye, but I don't think it's doing much.  This maybe a duh thing, but I just can't seem to figure it out. TIA

  • I made sure my hands were clean and put a drop or 2 on my finger and rubbed it in the corner of his eye in a counterclockwise motion. The goopyness started to clear up a few hours later.

  • My LO has had one for a bout a week and I can't seem to get it cleared up for the life of me! It clears up but then if he gets upset and cries for a little it comes right back.
  • My firstborn had a clogged tear duct and now my third has it too. I've never done the breast milk thing for it, but I do gently wipe and massage it twice a day with a warm wash cloth. With my first it went away on its own after about a month. This LO is three weeks and its starting to clear up...
