We already have (with DS) splurged on the breast pump and the car seat. Both very important in my eyes.

convertible crib/dresser w. hutch- pieces of furniture she will have until she moves out. only need to buy a new mattress when you convert to full bed

breast pump- would have given up on bf without it or never left my house and been miserable

So far, just the diaper bag. I also think we'll go higher end on the stroller (its at the top of the priority list).

A better question would be what aren't we splurging on. Probably the most expensive purchase has been & will be our nursery furniture. Got it all at Room&Board.

Hubs isn't totally sold on either of these yet - but the two I want to splurge on are the Medela Pump In Style Breast Pump and the BOB Revolution Jogging Stroller.

My Mia Bossi diaper bag... the price made me sick, but I had to have something stylish - a diaper bag isn't much different from a handbag (other than that it has baby's stuff in it) - and I can't see myself carrying a pastel pink or baby blue bag with animals on it.

we're inheriting a breast pump and furniture, so we're going to go big on a rocking chair set and the stroller/ car seat combo.

Definitely the glider! I can't wait for it to arrive...although I may never get back out of it once it comes .

DH and I both have siblings with kids, so we're getting lots of other hand-me-downs, and I'm going to wait to splurge on a diaper bag until I figure out exactly what features I want (I just bought a basic one for now).
