We have one that I bought from a co-worker for 10 bucks. We rarely use it and DD is 6 months tomorrow. We'll put her in it and she sits there for 5 minutes and wants out.
We have one. I was weary to use it at first because of the negativity surrounding it. However, my LO is 4 months old and we use it all the time. She does not slouch in it. She sits straight up. She is at the stage where she wants to sit on her own and play with her books and toys. We bought the tray to go along with it. She loves it! We take it to other peoples houses so we don't always have to hold her. At Christmas she sat in the middle of a big card table next to me (you're not supposed to put the Bumbo on higher surfaces, but we were right next to her and the table was so big she wasn't going anywhere). I say its a great purchase!
My guy is 4.5m. I bought one for $10 too and he won't sit in it for more than 5 min. I do know they put him in it at daycare though not sure how long he stays. He is really tall though I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I am glad I only spent $10. Also I couldnt get that link to work so I can't say if it is different than that. I actually am debating getting a high chair for him to sit in now instead.

I work at a daycare center and they use the bumpo to help children sit. My LO loves sitting in it when he is there. So I wasn't sure at first if I wanted to get one but after seeing my LO in ithe bumpo it seemed to be the right choice for us.
The one that you purchased is just like a bumpo. So no need to get a bumpo.
I got the summer infant one at my baby shower and just opened it up 2 weeks ago. LO doesn't quite fit in it yet (she's only 3 months) so I was wondering the same thing. I was just given a bumbo yesterday and we put her in it and she seems to like it much better. When she's awake she wants to be sitting so the bumbo works since she's still too little for the summer infant one.
We have the Bumbo... however.. went to put LO in it the other day and his legs are too fat to fit. He just hit 4 months and is 16 lbs. Ohhh well On to the high chair!
@pfftyouarenuts: You have to push down to pop their legs into it, they aren't supposed to slide in and out easily for safety reasons. DS is 3.5 months and 16lbs and fits perfectly.
OP you basically have a glorified bumbo, all it does is helps LO sit upright which is what yours does.
My MIL has one and I tried it over Christmas. One little jerky move and he practically tumbled out of it. She offered to give it to me and I said no thanks.
I bought one before Christmas thinking my LO would love it because he always wants to sit up but no, he'll sit there for about 5 minutes then start screaming.
We have both. My LO hates the Bumbo. Flat out, straight up hates it. She sees me set it on the floor and immediately stiffens her legs. The Summer Activity seat, on the other hand, she loves!
I have the bumbo super seat but not the super seat deluxe. She likes it, but she likes the jumparoo exersaucer thing more. I also feed her and use The super seat as a high chair, but on the floor.
We only use the bumbo for eating at restaurants... He sits between us at a booth and can participate even though he can't eat. He is too big for the infant carrier, so other than wearing him there is no other way to go out with him. He's 4 months and weighs nearly 22lbs... He's a beast in the 99%. He doesn't fit well in the legs, and he's not very chunky... Just big.
To sum it up, I use it because I have it but in retrospect wouldn't have bothered unless I found one cheap (like $5-10). The $20 I spent was not worth it.
Married DH : 7/7/12; 3 fur babies (2 dogs and 1 cat) DS born 9/3/13; DD born 7/22/15; LO due 5/28/18 FS (age 5) and FD (age 2) to become AS/AD very soon!
We used it quite a bit with my DS. We haven't put DD in it yet, I'm sure we will end up using it a lot again.

Alexis loves to sit up. I put her in there and she happily plays, watches her brother/tv/us eat for at least 20 minutes. I like it because it gets her off of her back
I bought the bumbo for full price ($40) a couple weeks ago and just sent it back. Daughter didn't like it at all. We tried her in it several times at different times of the day with the same result. She's going to be sitting up on her own in a month or so anyway so we wouldn't even use it that long. Save your $ and just use what you have. Your baby will be on to bigger and better things soon anyway!
I have twins, so we just bought 2 of them last weekend. My daughter likes it because she loves to sit up, but after a few minutes, she's over it. My son does not like it at all. I like that it helps them practice sitting up, and it gets my son off his back (he has a flat spot on his head). But if you already have something similar, I wouldn't bother getting a bumbo too.
