I went into Urgent care this morning because my back pain has only gotten worse, and I'm in tears every time I move slightly wrong. I have trouble sitting, laying down and bending - who knew that these are positions I use 90% if the time!! The doctor said it's probably a nerve and/or muscle spasms but wants me to get checked for pre-term labor. Of course now I'm freaking out feeling every tiny round ligament pain or cramp. I go into see the OB at 1:30 to get checked.
I've felt Owen kicking around this morning so that at least is a relief.
Anyone had back pain during pregnancy? Any recommendations on what to do. I think of myself as pretty tough but I'd give this an 8-9 on the pain scale. :-(
I am thinking of you also, and hoping it is nothing more than a pulled muscle or something that will pass soon. Please let us know when you have a chance after you have seen the OB. Sending you positive thoughts!

My back pain wasn't near that intense, but a chiropractic adjustment late in pregnancy did wonders for me. Wish I had done it sooner. I really hope you get some relief soon. I'm hoping for the best for you. Let us know n
I think everything is ok with baby atleast. His heart rate was low 131 (usually it's 147ish) the OB told me the range was 120-160 and she didn't seem worried. I didn't get a lot of feedback regarding the back pain except Tylenol, hot & cold treatments. I asked about chiropractic and accupunture and got the ok to proceed.
Thanks for the well wishes !! :-).
@herbabymama & @atxmommas - I booked acupuncture for tomorrow afternoon and I'm researching a chiropractor - thanks for the feedback :-)
I'm not pregnant, but do have a lot of back pain experience because I have a history of a herniated disc. Hands down the best thing I could have ever done was to seek out a qualified acupuncturist and chiropractor. Usually I am out of commission for at least two weeks, but the last time this happened, I was nearly 100% better within three visits.
Wishing you the best of luck and fast healing because I know how painful it is! Take care!!
