Gaming Husbands

Anyone want to commiserate about their gaming husbands? My H has been spending every free moment playing some game called War Planes. We never spend any time alone together because he's at his computer as soon as LO is asleep. He's also been staying up until 3-4am and then struggling to wake up every morning to hang with LO and I. I'm getting super annoyed. I want to spend time together before these babies arrive!

Anyone else have a gaming problem?

@KarmB I definitely feel your pain. H and I have had the same argument a million times. He doesn't understand that some people need one-on-one attention from their spouse to feel important. It's so easy for them to waste 8 hours at the damn computer and not think twice about another person.

I'm mentally tired. It's 24-7. I get one day of family time. If that. He needs to complete his quests and his team members were waiting on him.

Lilah was in his office today. I thought he was paying attention. She managed to climb up in something and fell into the file cabinet knocking water over. I jump up and he hands her to me to check his computer. I'm trying to calm her down.

I try to have sexy time. I'm in bed fir a half hour until he comes in and he wonders why I'm not in the mood

@Trixi282 Oh yeah, we've had that conversation several times. In fact, I may have been a small (huge) breakdown about this very issue last night. Yet here I sit, alone. Yay...

Luckily, he's really good about not playing while Olivia is awake but I deserve some time too!

@aimee223 Oh hell no! I would never be able to give up the only tv! I guess I'm lucky that he's on the computer.

@KarmB Does your H play WoW? That game is the worst! My husband used to be part of a guild and it was terrible. My one gaming victory has been getting him to quit that group. Its freaking ridiculous to schedule real life events around a gaming schedule!

We have the same problem with sexy time. How can we get it on when he's up until 4am? I'm in bed at 11. He wants to squeeze in quickies during nap time but I'm not feeling it. I need intimacy!

Poor Lilah, god forbid the precious computer be injured. Have you ever threatened to throw it out the window? I go there more than I care to share. Haha

@MissMusic Yes! It's all about finding the right balance. I've never asked him to stop gaming completely, just to find more time for me. He forgets that there's a difference between family time and husband/wife time.

I know right, and he's so thrilled with "watch this"....and im all over here like "uh huh yeah baby I see", "that's so awesome". I never lifted my head! lol

TheBoy goes through gaming waves. I don't really mind so much, although he comes to bed ages after me. But when he's in one of those periods, he just disappears to his computer at just about every opportunity. Kinda infuriating. I never just walk off to go watch TV or something without making sure he's got Elissa...

Sorry @JAck5209, maybe YH realizes he won't have time to play once the twins arrive and he's getting all his time in right now? I hope you get some quality time soon!
