Not to be a downer... But the reason they're so great is bc they're so absorbent, which is because there are so many layers, correct?
I believe so. They are my first and only fitteds and I do love them so far. My favorite part is all of the gorgeous prints they come out with! They just seem like they'd be so comfy to wear!

Are they similar to Sbish OBF in bulkiness or are they more so? Trying to determine if I want to try. You ladies talking it up make me want to give it a shot, but she's not soaking through an OBF right now unless she wakes up multiple times in the night to nurse.
I only have regular TT, which I'm assuming are less bulky than TTNN. The TT I have are definitely bulkier than OBF. However, TT are OS: OBF are not. I wish I had just bought some TT in the beginning and skipped the OBF size medium. But if you are looking for something for a smaller baby during the early months (for us this wouldn't have been worth it because he didn't STTN until after 6 months, anyway) I'd go with OBF.
Geez, I feel like I just wrote a secret code...all those abbreviations!
Lol this brought me back to my lurking days when the whole board looked like a foreign language to me. I remember thinking, 'Gosh, this is all so complicated!' Except probably adding a few expletives in there.

If this helps, here is a photo of the diapers laid out. The lighter one is the regular fitted, the darker one is the TTNN.
The inserts are thinner and not as stiff as Sbish inserts. The long inserts double over and have snaps in the center. So you have lots of options to customize the absorbency with these. The diaper itself is pretty similar between the fitted and the NN, the difference is how the snaps are laid out in the NN for the additional soaker.
I'll comment on trimness once I have had a chance to try them out on DS. I think the ability to customize how many layers I use will make a big difference.
I'm excited about the snaps. My Sbish are snapless and I am looking forward to some ON-worthy fitteds that can be put on without pins. I don't mind pinning, but I mind being the only person in the house who can pin a diaper.
As it happens, I find Sbish pretty trim, but when I use both inserts then I don't get a great fit at the crotch. The Sbish inserts are so thick that they push the crotch away from DS's legs and there's a bit of a gap. Haven't had any leaks from this, but if I have, then my wool cover has been a great second line of defense.
The reason TTs are so nice is that, yes they are very absorbent. However, the way they are cut allows for much longer use as they are cut very large. So my chunky monkey fit one great. They look fab on a toddler as well. The materials are very plush and high quality as well, plus the prints are adorable. Many people do save 10 $ and buy Goodmamas since they were the old version of TT. However, Goodmamas are cut much smaller and only has 1 soaker. It's not nearly as absorbant as a TT. TTNNs on the other handare sslightly bigger and bulkier, but they have a wonderfully huge wetzone soaker and 19 total layers of OBF instead of 11 like a regular TT. I love both. The TTNNs were the only solution I've found for ON though. That giant ass soaker is the key there. It's amazing. I use the regular TTs for pics and daytime now.
So... I'm really jealous of all of you who have TTs and S'bish. I would LOVE more fitteds, but can't justify the cost when my (2nd-hand zombified) BSRBs work just fine. Lucky for me, I HATE fold down rise. I'm pretty sure it's the only thing standing between me and a Batman TT.

thanks for this, I've always wondered about the difference between goodmamas and TT. TT gets much more love on this board, but I've heard people in other places rave about goodmama. I think I will continue to save up for a TT one day.
DS is still under 19 lbs. and only occasionally saturates his Sbish snapless. Most nights I don't even add another hemp doubler like many people do.
I'm guessing with the TTNNs I won't need to use all of the inserts initally. For one thing I don't think he needs that much absorbency, and for another I think they'll fit better with fewer inserts. It's nice to have a diaper with room to grow.
