This past weekend my wife's parents and little sister came to visit and celebrate Christmas with us. Dealing with in-laws is always challenging, but having her little sister here helps to make it worth it. She is a mini-me version of my wife and totally adorable! So I decided to post a pic of her today.

We also shared the good news with my wife's parents that we are pregnant. So her little sister is going to be a 5 year old aunt :-) She kept asking about the baby in my belly. It was so adorable

This Christmas we handmade 99% of the gifts we gave to our families. I made the two little nieces a stuffed owl, which turned out okay. On the other hand, what I made for my baby nephew turned out hysterical. I tried to make him a taggie dinosaur, but the pattern was too small so I asked DW to enlarge it. She is usually pretty good with the artistic thing, but the end result looks like what we call a "stego-turtle". Part dino, part turtle. It was hilarious, but he really liked it!

Ok these two are the love bugs of our house (this photo is happening as I type). Odo is the black cat and he loves ALL creatures - other cats (esp. female ones), dogs, our chickens, and people. Manny is the coolest cat ever! The super sad thing is Odo is 15, and Manny is only 2. We dread the day when Odo makes his exit, but we think Manny makes him want to stick around! (Thank you for indulging my cat psychic passage here...)

@ATXmommas - Ash is so adorable :-) I have to second @wallace323's recommendation - Kaden loved the Lamaze toys.

@ATXmommas I think it's hilarious that we have the same Boppy cover and same outfit for our little guys. Just looked again ... same pacifier too! Hah.

We went to an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic for our one year anniversary. (Thanks to Groupon it was super-inexpensive). While there we went on a horse-back ride through the country. Yes, there were parts that were in extreme poverty, but there were also parts of undisturbed beauty, like this grotto we went through!

Love the pics... I needed something to distract me while Oliver is nursing. I think we are in a growth spurt as he is eating every 45 min to 1 hour since yesterday afternoon. Needless to say, I am still in my pajamas at 3 pm... Hoping the cycle breaks soon! So in the meantime... Here are some pics of how big he is getting!
