...STOP IT!
Sorry, no real point to this, I just needed to get this out. This is Day 3 of insane, all day BH. They aren't timeable but are increasing in strength.
My OB knows about it and said to call immediately if they became timeable and lasted longer, otherwise, hang tight because baby is on his way.
In the meantime though, I'm never getting to sleep because baby boy wants to make sure I'm as uncomfortable as possible. I feel like I'm being electrocuted.

Re: Vent (sorry): Holy BH, for the love of god...
Anyway, I woke up from a contraction, it was so strong, I've had 2 minor ones, and now another strong one. I'm ready for it to end!

I don't completely buy the idea that they will do anything to help prepare my body for real contractions/labor, though.

The contractions have actually slowed down dramatically over the past few weeks so it's not really an issue anymore. For example, when I was up earlier, they were coming every 3-4 minutes, but only lasted for about 2 hours and then stopped pretty suddenly. And they aren't painful -- although my pain tolerance is kind of skewed. I am just trusting that I will know when they are true labor contractions.
On a side note, I have done a lot of research on the consistent contraction thing -- apparently the women who have experienced it like me have gotten a lot of the same response from the medical community. Blank stares and not really knowing what to do about it. It's not good or normal to have contractions that frequently, but for a lot of us it doesn't cause dilation or put us into pre-term labor, so it's not necessarily bad either. It baffles everyone when I'm in L&D because they assume that I must be dehydrated (I'm not) and then they can't believe how much I am peeing after they hook me up to an IV (I told you I wasn't dehydrated, people).
With DS I did get checked a few times due to them being regular and timeable. After realizing they weren't dilating me, I basically decided to just ignore them in absence of other symptoms (leaking, etc). When real contractions with DS eventually started, they were totally different and there was no mistaking them.
So now I just ignore them. But they are annoying. I haven't worked out in weeks because activity turns my stomach into a rock hard ball and it is uncomfortable.
But let me ask to those who go in to L&D only to be sent home (@peanutmuse maybe?), how does that work with your insurance? Do you pay a copay like ER copay every time you go in? Or do they just add it to your overall bill? My insurance sucks and try their best not to cover anything, so I'm a little nervouse about going in and being sent home. (I know everyone's insurance is different, just curious)
