6 week growth spurt

Anyone else? I think Archer has hit his a little early. He's been feeding non stop almost all day, barely sleeps for the better part of the day and only sleeps for short intervals at night, and he's been super fussy when he's usually fairly agreeable. It's been like this for a few days now and we're toast, especially since this has all been happening while dealing with my ILs.

Yes!!!! We just got over the 6 week growth spurt hump! One tired momma! But now she's sleeping 8 hour stretches at night!!

Omg thank you! I needed to hear this as motivation lol. How long did the growth spurt last for you? I'm praying we get through it before we have to travel north because feeding this frequently is going to be a nightmare traveling 1500km

  • Yeah I'm hoping that's what yesterday was, 5 weeks and he fed every hr. he didn't sleep all day! From midnight to 7pm he just dosed occasionally while feeding and the second I lay him down crying for more, eyes wide open. He has seemed to have most of these cluster feeding growth spurts early, so fingers crossed. He's done a 4.5hr sleep now and just woken after a 3.5hr stretch. Fingered crossed I can get him back in the bassinet now.
  • I think Sawyer went through hers the past 2 days. She's been the easiest baby until two days ago. If she wasn't eating or sleeping she was pissed.

About 4 days... You'll make it through!
Thanks :) I'm in survival mode today, I've spent all day sitting in bed with him either feeding or sleeping in my arms while I watch shows and bump on my laptop.

Breast feeding and mobile bumping do not mix. Like I said in the multi tasking thread, I'm lucky to brush my teeth. Lol. I think I was going to say I don't have the IL problems.
LOL yeah I've been lucky to go to the bathroom today :S Mr.MM has been checking in to see if I need anything every hour or two while I sit in bed feeding.

  • O think my LO has been in the 6 week growth spurt for a few day, I feel like he is always attached to my breast! Good luck to us !
The bright side is that this is the last spurt for a while

  • My DD seems to have one every two weeks. She is ravenous during those times! I can already tell she's picked up weight and visibly longer. Can't wait to see what the doctor says at her two month visit next week!

  • My LO must be having hers a week early. I cannot get her off of the boob today.
  • Sweet mother of god I've been feeding him almost non stop since this morning! No more than an hour between any one feeding if I did catch a break. I'm about ready to crack!

  • ((HUGS)) that's gotta be so tough! Jack hit his 6 week growth spurt about halfway through the sixth week... It lasted about four days and he was CRANKY and HUNGRY all the time. The good news is he has now started sleeping longer stretches through the night, around 5 hours. Good luck MM!! You are doing a fabulous job!
