The things I never thought I'd be able to do. I'm currently holding a sleeping baby in one arm, pumping with the other and mobile bumping all at the same time. I'm getting pretty good at this multi-tasking thing!

What new skills have all of you mastered?

    You're awesome! This is kiddo #2 and I still can't figure out the pump one side/nurse the other business!

    Ha! This is kiddo #2 for me as well and I can't tandem nurse/pump either. I got DS sleepy enough to put on my shoulder and patted his back while holding the pump on the other side. It wouldn't have worked if he were being fussy today. I got lucky!

    I'm getting better. Our first days home I barely moved from the couch while DD slept but now I am managing to get things done. Feels good! Now if I could only get the nerve up to take her out of the house by myself...

    I did the nursing/pumping/bumping this morning and it's definitely hard! I didn't want to pump but my boob was leaking and I need that milk! I'm still on the LO sleeping/me sleeping at least once during the day, but haven't taken her out yet...maybe next week once DH goes back to work. Then I think my talents will show, when I gotta do it all myself all day. :-S

    This morning I was nursing DD while making oatmeal for DS. It's amazing what you can do with one hand.

    @LP0198 - I need to learn how to nurse while walking around. I spend sooo many hours of my day on the couch either nursing or letting LO sleep on me! (He refuses to nap anywhere but in my arms. It could be worse - at least he sleeps in his bassinet at night.)

    The other day I was holding Lilly in one arm and emptying the dishwasher with the other hand. It was hard and took me a half hour but I got it done!

    How old is your son?
    He just turned two this past Saturday. He climbs baby gates, furniture and bookcases (those are his favorite because he can climb high). The kid is fearless, I know he's going to be into extreme sports :(

    I managed to cook a full meal last night, including 3 sides, with the baby in the carrier. Still haven't accomplished cleaning those dishes though.

    I pump & bump all the time! Nurse and let the dogs out, texting while nursing, online shopping while nursing. Nothing too crazy!

    And for my next trick, I'm working on mastering the baby sling. Just emptied the dishwasher (which is hard on the knees - forewarning!) and put dinner in the crockpot while DS slept in the sling. I'm having pregnancy flash-backs: bumping into things, back pain, etc. Haha!

    Wow im impressed with you ladies...im still not even comfortable with my diaper changing skills...my house is a disaster of a mess and DH literally has to help me with the pump bc im blind and cant get the stupid thing on straight. Oh and im lucky if i can get lo positioned properly to BF by myself...im pretty pathetic...

    Pumped one boob while nursing on the other, and feeding DD1 and myself Cheerios for breakfast! And DH freaks out when he only has to feed the baby! Lol

    @mrshoffman2b he is 3 weeks. My excuse is that i just started feeling better from the csection pain, plus i had some breathing issues that i had to go back to the hospital for that is also just starting to get better.

    Still sometimes i feel like a total failure as a mom. Luckily my DH has been awesome with helping me. I guess i will get this stuff down eventually...i hope.

    Don't be fooled! The accomplishments listed here ignores all of the things I (and my guess is, others) haven't done. My house is a disaster, most days I don't get dressed before the afternoon if at all, I have clean laundry in my basket to be folded that has been sitting there for a week, etc. Newborn life is hard but it gets better! You'll get the hang of it.

    I managed to get DS1 de-pantsed and up onto the toilet while nursing DS2. He had finally latched well just before the potty call came, and I really didn't want to have to try to get it right again.
