Make me feel better

Whose toddler has been watching WAY too much tv lately? MINE!

Part of me says...meh whatever gets us through the day, but the other part of me has major mom guilt. It's not like I expect our days to be filled with educational games and arts and crafts, but i still feel bad. I'll be glad when we are ready to get out of the house more on our own.

    Same here. I think when I get into a better routine with 2 kids it will be easier to have activities all day. Right now I'm so tired all the time, the tv has been an amazing distraction.

    Same here. I do agree that we plAy lots of play doh as well! But we have taken advantage of the tv a little too much :(

    Well my girls are definitely watching too much! But it's a treat, since during school time, there's a no screen time policy during the week. They're on vacation.... Extended by 2 days because of the snow. :)

    I'm glad DS is really into his new blocks so that is providing some entertainment. I don't think we are quite ready for playdoh yet...would definitely end up as a snack ;)

    My kid is currently watching Bubble Guppies on TV and Angry Birds videos on his kindle fire. I am not ashamed to say this is how the entire day will be today. I am sick and all DS2 does is eat, spit up and cry. If I try to unlatch him or put him down he starts screaming.

    A bubble guppies ad appeared on the bottom of my phone...the interwebz are watching!!! ;)

    Yeah, I hate how tired I am at this point, and I have serious mom guilt that DD is having to play on her own more since every time she wants to play, DS wants to eat. She tries to crawl in my lap when he's in it and resorts to crying when he does because she doesn't know how else to get my attention. I will be SO glad when he starts to be a little more independent because right now this is killing me.

    Girl... Is it sad that DS1 knew how to work Netflix off our chrome cast even before DS2? Should I be ashamed or proud?

    Yep... Tons of tv here. Luckily they are entertained for a while with all the new toys they got for Christmas. It's been cold and rainy here lately so going outside isn't an option. I'll be searching Pinterest for some not so messy crafts.

    I made a rice table for them and they LOVE it. It does keep them entertained for a while.

    I agree with everyone and I'm so glad you posted this. I feel like a terrible mom because in order to just feed DS2 DS1 has to watch tv or he will do something he shouldn't while I'm nursing. I've tried everything! Play doh he eats if he playing independently, a rice table? I can't even imagine what my house would look like if he was left alone with that!

    I know I tell both my kids to just play or watch tv because I'm tired from not sleeping and I feel super bad and they been asking me to go to the park .usually we go out to the park if it's not a school day and since there on vacation I feel bad that there stuck in the house too :/ but school starts Monday yay :)
